I had a very enjoyable shoot at cornerstone schools. It sounds like they are going to use me more in the future. That is always positive news. I took a number of different images. Candid, group and posed. The shots are for promotion of the school as a quality place to send your children.
It’s amazing what old architecture can do for a photograph. We have lots of it in Detroit. This portrait was taken today in the new center area, Detroit.
Liz Blondy and Clare Nelson owners of two “cool Detroit businesses”, started Open City, a group that brings potential and existing businesses in Detroit together for community and economic growth. I photographed them Saturday. I enjoyed meeting both of them. I was tired and a little out of it from my 13.5 hour drive through the snow storm that hit Ohio and New York. But, I think we got a few good images for Strut magazine.
We need to give Detroit business owners a chance to make our city work. Check it out.
We shot at the Detroit Science Center for Metro Parent Magazine. I really enjoyed myself. I encourage you to visit soon.

I had an assignment photographing scenes and businesses for strut magazine. We focused on the downtown woodward – off woodward area. Here are a few of the images. I can’t say they are all award winners, but I enjoyed walking around downtown with the time I had scheduled.

I took this image of Paul Jenkins Jr. of MiG Detroit, in front of the new Detroit Hotel next to Motor city casino, for Story Pole Magazine. MiG is a general contractor for the new Motorcity Casino.
I photographed Tyree Guyton today for African American Family Magazine. It was his birthday today and after the shoot we had cake! It was an honor. My assignment was just a simple cover shot, but I’ve included a few out-takes. My favorite is the photograph of Tyree with a broom going to sweep the street before the shoot (a half a blook away from the shoot).
